Friulane are the historic unisex shoes of Friuli tradition, Madame Pauline Vintage interprets the classic footwear and dresses them in Bandana.

They were originally homemade by ladies in mountain villages, then found new life among Venetian canals, gondoliers needed shoes that were comfortable, stable and gentle on wood .

The handmade stitching has remained the same as in the past, made by hand that with its irregular gait , makes each shoe a unique piece .
The rubber sole with typical visible stitching ensures a good grip.

We wanted to recreate the texture of the bicycle tire, since originally the sole of the Friulane was made from old tires.

Made entirely of cotton.

Produced entirely in Italy in Gonars (UD).
